Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, held talks with Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India, to address key bilateral and global developments. The meeting took place at Bayan Palace in Kuwait City during the Indian leader’s official visit to the Gulf nation. The discussions focused on strengthening ties between the two countries and exploring ways to enhance cooperation across multiple sectors.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to advancing economic, political, and cultural partnerships in alignment with mutual interests. The talks also covered pressing regional and international issues, underscoring the shared interest in promoting stability and development. The two sides reviewed current geopolitical challenges and explored avenues for closer collaboration to address global concerns effectively.

The visit marks a significant milestone in Kuwait-India relations, which have been characterized by strong economic and diplomatic engagements. India remains one of Kuwait’s largest trading partners, with bilateral trade volumes spanning energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors. Kuwait is home to a substantial Indian expatriate community, contributing to the country’s workforce and cultural diversity.

Discussions also highlighted the role of this community in strengthening social and economic ties between the two nations. Prime Minister Modi expressed appreciation for Kuwait’s hospitality and emphasized India’s readiness to deepen cooperation in areas of energy security, investment, and technological exchange. Emir Sheikh Meshal reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to fostering bilateral growth and regional peace through dialogue and cooperation.

The meeting concluded with both leaders agreeing to continue high-level engagements and institutional dialogues to advance shared objectives. Modi’s visit reflects India’s broader strategy of enhancing partnerships with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states to ensure regional stability and economic progress. – By MENA Newswire News Desk.
